Follow this Instruction :
1. Make sure IDM is installed if you do not have you can get it from here : http://bit.ly/whljcu
2. Now run the IDM Optimizer Application and maximize it.
3. Now run as indicated and make sure to restart IDM so that it takes effect.
4. Now you can anytime come back to default settings by choosing revert to default.
